About the Race

The 5K, 10K, 1 mile Kids Fun Run race will begin at 8:30 am on September 14th, 2024 at the Clawson-Burnely Park on the Greenway Trail in Boone. This is a Family Friendly Race, so Children of all ages are welcome to run/walk as well. Strollers and dogs are permitted. All races will begin at the park. The Kids Fun Run will be a 1 mile race. The 5K will go to the section on the greenway trail near the water treatment plant. There, you will see a water station to rehydrate. 10K route will go past the 5K turn around to the end of the paved greenway, turn left across the bridge, then right onto the gravel road Hew River Hills. We will run under Deputy William Mast, Jr. Bridge, past Ted Mackorell Soccer field, where you will see the water station/turn around. This is a timed race, but it welcomed for seasoned runners and for community members that just want to take part in this great cause and event. At the end of the race, we will have a celebration. We will do awards, and just enjoy being together and honoring these great people we run to remember. Please join us and help us as we never forget!

About Who We are Honoring

Please Join Us for the 11th Annual Hunter's Heroes Race on Saturday, September 14, 2024. This year will be a little different from the years past, as we are not just going to honor one hero, but ALL of our heroes past and present. We will join together to raise funds that will allow Hunter's Heroes to help heroes all throughout the year, as well as members of our community that need assistance with medical expenses. We will have our 1 mile Fun Run for our kids 2-10 years old. This race will begin at 8:00am. We will also still have our 5k and 10k. We have lots of volunteers lined up to help us make sure that our routes go smoothly too. We are so honored that we have been able to help so many first responder families over the past 12 years, as well as members of our wonderful community. The Hunter's Heroes Team wants to be able to continue helping our First Responders, Families, and serve our community for years to come, but we can't do it without your help. Please join us as we Run to Remember and honor ALL our Heroes. We can't wait to see you there.
