How does the raffle work?

Every chance purchased is 1 entry into the raffle. There is no limit to the number of chances you can buy. The more you buy, the better your chances of winning. Please see all rules, disclaimer, and tax liability below.

How many tickets will be sold?

Only 1, 500 tickets will be sold.

When is the raffle drawing?
The raffle drawing will be streamed via Hunter's Heroes' Facebook page. Join us October 16, 2021, at 7 pm LIVE (EST)

How will I receive my prize?

One of the board members will contact the winner after the drawing, based on the contact information provided by the purchaser, to verify eligibility and arrange prize pickup.

How to enter the raffle?
To enter the raffle, go to the Hunter's Heroes website or buy a ticket from one of the board members.

  • Participants must be U.S. residents and at least 18 years of age. Any participant not 18 years or older that wins will be disqualified. We require proof of age.

  • The winner of the raffle will be determined by a random drawing and this person will not have any affiliation with our non-profit.

  • Board Members, and current volunteers of Hunter's Heroes and their immediate family (household members) are not eligible to enter. "Household members" shall mean those people that live in the same residence at least 3 months a year, such as spouse, child, parent, or sibling.

  • For each chance you purchase, you will receive one entry.

  • Purchased tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

  • Participants do not need to watch the live drawing on Facebook to win.

  • Winners will be contacted via email and phone by the treasurer of Hunter's Heroes.

  • Exact delivery date of the Rubicon Jeep will be arranged between Hunter's Heroes and the winner.

  • The Rubicon Jeep is not redeemable for cash.

  • The winner of the raffle authorizes Hunter's Heroes to use, at its discretion, the winner's name and any images for promotional and marketing purposes with no additional considerations.




This fundraiser is being conducted by a North Carolina Non-Profit pending 501(c)(3) status Hunter's Heroes and is officially licensed under the Articles of Incorporation of William Hunter Mast Scholarship Fund Road Race, INC. All proceeds of the Rubicon Jeep Raffle will benefit the numerous scholarships, and future work of the non-profit to serve the community. Hunter's Heroes further dones not in any way warrant or guarantee the condition, physical or otherwise, of any raffle item upon the raffle winner's receipt. Any product, manufacturing, or other defect affecting any raffle item shall be the sole responsibility of the manufacturer and/or retailor of the itema and by participating, raffle winner hereby releases Hunter's Heroes board members from any and all liability and/or causes of action, known or unknown, relating to or arising from receipt of winning the raffled Rubicon Jeep.  750 tickets will have to be sold to be able to do this Jeep giveaway, so the jeep can be paid for.  If 750 tickets are not sold all ticket sales will result in donations to Hunter's Heroes and the Rubicon Jeep will be relinquished back to RubiTrux of Boone for them to sale to pay costs.

Tax Liability

  • "Raffle" Defined: In general, a raffle is considered a form of lottery. As such, a raffle generally refers to a method for the distribution of prizes among persons who have paid for a chance to win such a prizes, usually determined by the numbers, or symbols, on tickets drawn.

  • Raffle Tickets are NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE: The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for any chances to participate in raffles, lotteries, or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the entry does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution.

  • Any applicable tax, tag, and doc fees liability for winning is the responsibility of the winner.

  • The winner of the Rubicon Jeep must furnish the organization a statement on Form 5754 made under penalties of perjury stating his or her identity and the identity of any others entitled to the winnings (and their shares of the winning), and will pay all necessary taxes at the time winner takes possession of the vehicle.
