Can I wear headphones?

Yes, but we ask that you keep the volume down at a safe level so that you can hear other runners or instructions from event personnel. We also ask that you remove at least one earbud when coming to aid stations, in a large crowd, or on more technical or difficult sections of the course. The important thing is paying attention to everyone's safety and maintaining basic race etiquette with other runners.

 

Can I register on the day of the race?

Yes, you can! Race day registration will start at 7:00am and close at 8:00 am.

How much does race registration cost?

Fees are $20 for individuals who register before September 1, 2026. $30 for individuals who register between September 3 and up till 8 am on race day. Signing up by August 29, 2026 will guarantee a race T-shirt. Other's will be able to purchase a race shirt if there are any left after the race.

 

Will there be age group awards?

Yes, the age categories are:

12 and under| 13 - 19 | 19 - 29 | 30 - 39| 40 - 49 | 50 - 59 | 60 - 69 | 70 - 79| 80+

 Details are included with the pre-race and post-race e-mails.

 

Who are the overall winners?

In the race we will award the top three male and top three female runners. The winners will receive hand-made local pottery.

 

When/where do I pick up my bib and race packet?

We will have a Registration table set up inside the pavilion at Clawson-Burnely Park the morning of the race. There you will pick up your race bib and your T-Shirt (if you registered by 8/29/2026). Registration will be open 7:00am-8:00am the morning of the race as well. 

 

Will there be somewhere to leave my warm-up clothes?

Yes, there will be a sweat-check area and these will be checked in and watched over by a volunteer. Please do not leave valuables in your sweat bags, as we cannot be responsible for these items.

 

I am a very slow runner. Am I going to be out of place?

You won't be out of place at all. Our races are planned for participants of all abilities, including walkers/hikers.

 

Is there a time limit?

The race will start at 8:30 am and should be over no later than 10:30 am.

Is there anything I am not allowed to have during the race?

We ask that you do not bring your bicycles, roller blades, or large personal belongings with you while you are running/walking the race.

 

Will the race be cancelled if it rains?

No! The race will be held, rain or shine.

Do you issue refunds?

We do NOT issue refunds. However, we WILL credit you with 50% or 75% of your entry toward a future race if you let us know in advance

At least 2 weeks: 75% credit

At least 72 hours: 50% credit

 

Can I host a cheer zone or water station?

Yes! Contact the race director Carol Cook at huntersheroes2013@gmail.com about hosting a cheer zone or water station.
