If you're like me after a great run you want to eat a little snack. However, you do not want to overindulge. Just a simple little snack that helps you boost your energy back up and leave you satisfied. I call it my recovery food.
Recovery foods can be as simple as a protein shake. I use different whey proteins. Some people prefer to use milk instead of water to make their shakes, because the milk helps them taste a little better. Nuts and protein snack mixes are also a good option. However one of my favorite snacks that I highly recommend is sliced up banana with a little peanut butter. It's a quick and easy post run snack that will leave you satisfied.
