Don’t have time to exercise?
Some tips to make the most out of your day!
So maybe you are like me and feel like there is not enough time in the day to exercise! Life is a constant juggling game and finding some time for yourself can be difficult. However, we must stay motivated, and give our bodies what they need to stay feeling great and to keep in shape! Listed below are five tips that will remind us that we all can find time to take care of ourselves and our loved one’s will notice the change before you!
1. It is OKAY to say NO!
For such a small word it can be hard to say! Sometimes it is necessary to say no to things so that you do not overschedule yourself. You cannot do it all; you are only one person, so give yourself a break! If you are feeling overwhelmed, it probably means you have said yes one too many times and we all deserve free time. Just remember you need time to take care of yourself too!
2. Take one day to meal prep each week
Not only will meal prep help you make smart and healthy decisions, but it is a total game changer when it comes to freeing up some time to be active during the week. It will cut down on your stress level and give you the time to get in that extra cardio, making it a win win!
3. Cut back on the Social Media
Easier said than done, I know! In the end you are going to thank yourself because we do not realize how much of our day is looking at a screen. Make social media a reward after you get in a hard workout! By the way, do not bring your phone into the gym, or with you while you exercise, because this is your time to let your mind disconnect.
4. Mark exercise into your calendar
This has been one of the most helpful tips for myself because I like making to my “to-do” lists. If you schedule it in, such as a yoga class in the morning, or cycle class in the afternoon, you are a lot more likely to make that class! Make a fitness schedule and get into a routine!
5. Get a workout buddy!
I know many people have probably heard this before, but this is probably one of the most effective ways to staying motivated! Accountability is key! Don’t let your friend or yourself down. Stay fit!
